1. State of Emergency: After protests turned violent in Baltimore, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan declared a state of emergency and activated the National Guard. The Montgomery County Police Department has sent 40 officers to assist Baltimore Police.

2. A New Chapter: The Silver Spring Library is scheduled to open on June 20th.

3. Pay to Play: The Montgomery County School Board voted unanimously on Monday to increase the extracurricular activity fee for students.
