Detectives Investigate Credit Card Fraud in Bethesda (PHOTOS)

Montgomery County Police are investigating a credit card fraud case which occurred in Bethesda.

According to police, the victim was notified of fraudulent activity on her credit card on Feb. 12. The victim was still in possession of the card and was uncertain how the card number was being used to make purchases, police said.

Police said through an investigation, it was learned that the credit card had been cloned and used at a Safeway locations in Bethesda.

Detectives are now releasing a photo of the suspect who used the cloned cards. Anyone with information about this crime or the suspect is asked to contact the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240.773.6726. Callers may remain anonymous.
