DOC Director Art Wallenstein Retires from Montgomery County
Arthur Wallenstein, the long-serving director of the Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation, retired on March 13.
He has served as director since 1999.
County officials said farewell to Wallenstein at an event attended by dozens on Friday evening at the Executive Office Building. Earlier in the day, Wallenstein attended the 41st annual Public Safety Awards Ceremony at the Bethesda North Marriott.
According to the county’s website, Warden Robert Green is now the acting director of the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation.
