Montgomery County Public Schools Closed Today

Montgomery County Public Schools officials have now announced schools are closed today because of emergency weather conditions.

All school and community activities in school buildings also are canceled. Administrative offices will open two hours late. Day care programs in schools may open at 9 a.m.

Earlier this morning, MCPS officials announced a two hour delay.

The timing of this storm made today a tough call. Our operations team did a great job assessing and reassessing thru the morning.

MCPS schools and offices will at least open two hours late today. We'll monitor conditions & determine if it is necessary to close by 7 a.m.
