Fire at Auto Shop in Bethesda Forces Temporary Road Closure
UPDATED: A fire at an auto shop off Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda forced people to be evacuated temporarily from the business.
The fire at Chevy Chase Cars located at 7725 Wisconsin Ave. is under control, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesman Pete Piringer. The fire was reported at 8:45 a.m. in the paint shop area of the business, Piringer told MyMCMedia. He said the cause was a mechanical issue and the fire caused about $40,000 in damage to business.
