County Executive’s Ball Benefits Arts & Humanities (VIDEO)
Nearly 1,000 people attended the County Executive’s Inaugural Ball on Dec. 1 at the Bethesda North Marriott. This annual event benefits the Arts and Humanities of Montgomery County.
There were 90 sponsors and organizers say there are plans to distribute at least $300,000 for arts and humanities organizations to advance arts education programming.
Some of the other attendees included Theresa Colvin, executive director of the Maryland States Arts Council; Suzan Jenkins, CEO of the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County; the entire Montgomery County Council; Comptroller Peter Franchot; MCPS Superintendent Joshua Starr; and leaders and board members from arts organizations from around the county.
