Hornets Heading to States Tonight
Four state football finals get underway at Ravens’ field at M&T Bank Stadium beginning with the Class 3A Final on tonight at 7 p.m. where Number one ranked Damascus will take on Number 2 Franklin High School from Baltimore.
The last time Damascus won the state championship title was 2007, but they have a strong record of appearances in the playoffs, according to Athletic Director Joe Doody.
And the town, it seems, is prepared to root them on. Doody said seven buses from the school will be headed to the game tonight.
“When things like this happens in Damascus they turn the town lights off and everyone goes,” Doody told MyMCMedia Thursday afternoon.
