
13 Injured in Sandy Spring Accident (PHOTOS)
UPDATED, Oct. 31, 4:30 p.m.- All those involved in a major collision in Sandy Spring appear to have non-life-threatening injuries, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services Spokesman Pete Piringer.
All five kids and two adults in the minivan involved in the accident survived thanks to passenger safety seat and child seats, Piringer said.
The accident at Norwood Road and Excaliber Roads included a minivan, SUV and two cars. No further details about the accident were immediately available. Roads in that area are still closed as Montgomery County Police investigate.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue services are dealing with what they are calling a “mass casualty” incident at Norwood Road and Excaliber Raod in Sandy Spring.
There are reportedly five pediatric injuries and several adults injured in the collision, according to tweets from MCFRS Pete Piringer. The incident involved a minivan and a total of 13 people have been hurt.
Parents with children attending Sandy Spring Friends School are being asked to pick up their children at Adventure Park at 16701 Norwood Road, accessing it via Layhill Road.
No additional details were immediately available.
