Police Investigate Homicide in Gaithersburg
UPDATED Oct. 5, 7:55 p.m. – Montgomery County Police have identified the victim of a homicide that occurred on Saturday in the Gaithersburg area of Montgomery County. According to police, Russell David died at the hospital where he was treated for multiple stab wounds.
According to police, officers also located the suspect at the scene. Police said an 18-year-old male, who is the victim’s nephew, Andrew David was taken into custody. According to police, both the victim and the suspect reside at the residence on Pecan Grove Lane.
Police said the preliminary investigation indicates that an altercation between the victim and suspect occurred in the residence.
Detectives continue to examine forensic evidence and are awaiting the Medical Examiner’s findings. Police said no criminal charges have been placed in this case at this time. The investigation continues.
UPDATED Montgomery County police are investigating a homicide that occurred this afternoon in the 24100 block of Pecan Grove Lane in Gaithersburg.
According to the Twitter account of the Montgomery County Police Department, police received a report of a stabbing at 4:57 p.m. today (Oct. 4).
Police said a 55-year-old male victim was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries. Police have not identified the victim or the motive in this case.
The investigation continues.
