Gaithersburg’s East Deer Park (Humpback) Bridge Reopens Aug. 31
The East Deer Park Bridge, also known as the Humpback Bridge, which spans the CSX railroad tracks between the city of Gaithersburg and the town of Washington Grove, has been closed to traffic since Monday, June 23. It is now scheduled to reopen on Sunday, August 31.
At that time, East Deer Park Road between Central Avenue and Railroad Street will reopen. The detour signs around the construction site will be removed and the normal flow of traffic will resume.
CSX Contractor Clark Civil is handling the structural modifications which will bring the East Deer Park Bridge up to current standards. Train service has not been disrupted.
