New Law Means Some Restaurants Can Stay Open Later
A new state law, that went into effect on July 1, means some liquor license holders can extend their establishments’ Sunday – Thursday hours until 2 a.m. and their Friday and Saturday operating hours can be extended until 3 a.m. and that option is already proving popular with some businesses in Montgomery County.
Here’s a list of the 22 local establishments that have modified their hours to date, according to the Department of Liquor Control’s website on July 11:

Tropicana’s Restaurant

Union Jacks Bethesda
Union Jacks RIO
Office Services Coordinator Kenny Eversleigh of the Department of Liquor Control said there are currently 462 businesses countywide that are eligible to change their operating hours.
