Council Honors Gaithersburg Principal Christine Handy-Collins (Photo)

The Montgomery County Council honored Christing Handy-Collins, principal of Gaithersburg High School June 17. She was selected as a recipient of the 2014 Dr. Edward Shirley Award for Excellence in Educational Administration and Supervision. The award is presented annually by the Montgomery County Association of Administrators and Principals and the Montgomery County Business Roundtable for Education for exemplifying commitment and leadership to Montgomery County Public Schools.

Councilmember Phil Andrews (left) and Council President Craig Rice presented a proclamation to Dr. Handy-Collins (center) on behalf of the Council.
