Visit Holiday Park Senior Center

Holiday Park welcomes adults age 55+ for a variety of social, fitness and educational programs. Classes range from Zumba, yoga, ballroom Dance, Tai Chi, International Folk Dancing, Digital Photography and Spanish. “Daily Show” Program Highlights

Every weekday at Holiday Park we offer the “Daily Show” at 1 p.m. A variety of enrichment topics or events are offered including music, dance, theater, history, culture, literature, and health education. Metropolitan Ballet Theater (FREE)

Wednesday, May 21• 1-2 p.m.

Enjoy a free mini-performance of the company’s current repertory. The Metropolitan Ballet Theater is a non-profit arts education organization funded in part by the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County and the Maryland State Arts Council. They will perform portions of their current repertory.

OOPS! The Inadvertent Invention of Innumerable Interesting Items (FREE)

“Almost Antiques Roadshow” at Holiday Park (FREE)

Have you wanted to learn more about a keepsake or collectable? How old it is? Where is it from? Where can I get it repaired? Todd Peenstra, President of Peenstra Antiques Appraisals and Steve Gouterman, co-owner of NovaGold LLC will offer FREE appraisals, consultations, and advice on almost anything including but not limited to jewelry, silver, coins, time pieces, furniture, glass, por­celain, paintings, bronze, toys, documents, and any other items (except stamps). Registration is required to have an item appraised, one item per person.

Jazz-The Intimate Art: Music Apprecia­tion with Irv Chamberlain (FREE)

Mondays: June 9 & 16, July 7 & 14 • 1-2 p.m.

Memorable treasures of beautiful melodies by Ellington, Armstrong, Goodman, Dorsey, Basie, Getz, Brubeck and many more. We’ll be foot-tapping to the masters’ gems through the decades and will include a session on vocal­ists such as Sinatra, Fitzgerald, Holiday and Torme.
