13th Annual Montomery County Young Professionals Conference

More than 800 Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) high school juniors will attend the 13th Annual Montgomery County Young Professional Conference from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 20 at The Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville.

Students enrolled in MCPS career pathway programs will have an opportunity to network with business leaders, learn about a variety of careers, and engage in real-word problem solving activities during the conference. The program includes a keynote address by Thomas Perry, the general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott Convention Center, interactive breakout sessions, and a networking lunch.

The career pathway programs that the students participate in include the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism, Broadcast Media, Academy of Finance/Business, Justice, Law and Society, and Advanced Engineering.

The event is sponsored by MCPS, the Montgomery County Business Roundtable for Education (MCBRE), The Universities at Shady Grove and Montgomery College.
