2. The Montgomery County Planning Department is hosting a Sandy Spring Community Meeting tonight from 7 – 9 p.m. to discuss the rural Village Plan. The meeting will be held at the Sandy Spring Meeting House located at 17715 Meeting House Road, Sandy Spring, Maryland.

3. Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett will be appearing on Montgomery Mosaic today at 10:30 a.m. where he is expected to discuss his recommended FY 2015 operating budget.

4. Flamenco singer Estrella Morente performs at Strathmore tonight.

5. AFI Silver hosts the 2014 New African Films Festival in Silver Spring this week.
