Hundreds Without Power in Gaithersburg

UPDATED The power has been restored to the area.

ORIGINAL POST The traffic signal at Great Seneca Highway and Quince Orchard Road is out and police are on the scene as hundreds are experiencing power outages in the Gaithersburg area.

As of 9 p.m., on March 12, more than 1,300 Pepco customers are without power, according to the company’s outage map.

Officials are asking motorists to avoid the area.
