Council President Rice to Brief Media Feb. 24
Montgomery County Council President Craig Rice will meet with members of the media on Monday, Feb. 24, to discuss key items that will be facing the County Council and its respective committees in the near future. Among the issues he will talk about are the Council’s priorities during the ongoing Maryland General Assembly session. Members of the Council have been making constant trips to Annapolis over the past few weeks in an attempt to secure support for specific programs. He also will offer thoughts on the County’s snow removal efforts during the recent heavy winter storm.
Another issue Rice will address is decisions the Council has made regarding the proposed limited master plan amendment for Clarksburg. He also will talk about the Capital Improvements Program long-term plan for funding library projects.
Council President Rice intends to hold regular briefings to help explain and expand on upcoming issues facing the Council and the County in general.
