The Yeomen of the Guard Opens in Rockville (Photos)

The Victorian Lyric Opera Company presents Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Yeomen of the Guard or, The Merryman and his Maid,” Feb. 20 – March 2 at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, 603 Edmonston Drive in Rockville. The songs contain considerable humor, including a lot of pun-laden one-liners.

Shows are at 8 p.m. Feb. 20, 21, 22, 28 and March 1; and 2 p.m. Feb. 23 and March 2. The 2 p.m. show on Feb. 23 includes backstage tours and a special craft activity for children beginning at 12:45 p.m., and a talk-back session with cast and crew following the performance.

Tickets are $24 for adults; $20 for seniors; and $16 for students. The Feb. 20 show is a preview performance and tickets for that show are just $12.
