Residents Told to Email Highway Services about Snowy Streets
Montgomery County residents who believe their street may have been missed by County snowplows should email highway@montgomerycountymd.gov.
That’s the word from Montgomery County officials who said the county’s snow map is not accepting missed street requests at this time.
Another note from county officials: “On neighborhood streets, snowplows may not scape snow and ice down to bare pavement, but try to ensure that the road is passable.”
Highway crews are using 650 pieces of equipment to continue removing snow from urban districts, widening cleared paths at intersections and ensuring neighborhood roads are passable.
Drivers are urged to be cautious and aware of pedestrians. Businesses and residents are reminded that the County’s sidewalk clearing law requires sidewalks to be accessible 24 hours following the end of a snowstorm.
