House Fire on 2nd Avenue (Photos)

Montgomery County firefighters are investigating what caused a single-family house fire at 203 2nd Avenue in Washington Grove shortly after 6 a.m. on Jan. 14.

On his Twitter account, Assistant Chief Scott Graham reports there was heavy fire showing when the first firetrucks arrived.

According to Graham, three firefighters were injured battling the house fire and they were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.

Graham said no one was home when the fire occurred.

Firefighters are investigating what caused the blaze.

So far, there is no word on monetary damage estimates or what ignited the fire.
