School Bus Cameras for slider 450x280Two Takoma Park Elementary School kids fell out of their school bus as it was traveling over a speed bump on Maplewood Avenue on Nov. 20. The students were transported to Children’s Hospital with minor injuries, according to a Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) spokesperson.

“It appears that the strap of one of the student’s backpacks got caught on the latch and that is how the door opened,” said Gboyinde Onijala, MCPS senior communications specialist. “The student did not open it.”

According to Onijala, the bus stopped right away and emergency personnel were contacted.

No further details have been released about this incident.
