Rockville’s Farmers Market Open Through Nov. 23 (Video)

Stop by the Rockville farmers market on Saturdays in November and find vegetables, fruits, baked goods, flowers and more for your Thanksgiving meal.

Fall produce awaits your purchase at the market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday in Town Center. The Saturday market runs through Nov. 23 in the parking lot at the corner of Route 28 and Monroe Street.

Thanksgiving essentials such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, greens, desserts, apples and more will be available throughout this month.

Also this month, consider donating food purchased at the market to Manna Food, a local nonprofit food bank that supplies food to a variety of nonprofits that help those in need throughout Montgomery County. Manna partners with 360 organizations and distributes food to approximately 3,300 families each month.

Manna has a table set up at the Rockville farmers market. Stop by this week to find out what you can do to help a neighbor in need. Learn more about Manna at www.mannafood.org.

The Saturday market participates in Eat Fresh Maryland, a program designed to expand access to fresh fruits and vegetables for low-income residents. Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards are accepted at the Saturday market. EBT card users can use their card on eligible items such as fruits, vegetables, and meats. Card holders can also get up to $10 of matching EBT funds each week at the Saturday market.
