Empire State of Trouble

The New York Giants are usually one of the best teams in the NFL . With Eli Manning they would spark excitement in fans around the league. This year the Giants just don’t have “it” and it has showed in every aspect of their game.  The Giants are 30th in the league in rushing and 24th in total defense. The Giants are 8th in the league in passing but Eli Manning has already thrown 15 interceptions and only 9 touchdowns. Eli Manning needs to step up and play smart football. The Giants Wide Receivers need to do a better job of giving Eli plenty of targets so his job is easier. The Offensive Line had been horrible this year! Most of Eli’s interceptions are from him being pressured and forced to throw into traffic. Unless the Giants make major adjustments(which may include releasing or firing somebody) they will continue to get worse as the season progresses. Having a bad season this year may be good for the Giants so they can get a high draft pick and get some young talent. I believe that an appropriate draft pick would be to get an Offensive Line Men. I would look at 6-7 lineman Taylor Lewan. At Michigan he has proven that he can dominate the defensive lineman and he has great size and potential.
