School Bus Accident

Montgomery County police and fire rescue crews were dispatched to a school bus accident at Georgia Avenue and Heathfield Road at 7:48 a.m. on Sept. 13.

Assistant Chief Scott Graham, said there are five injuries, including one serious injury. He described all the patients as adults.

Police Spokesperson Angela Cruz said there were students on board the county school bus and she said the crash involved another vehicle. She said a tow truck was called and the accident has been assigned a case number. Officers from the Wheaton district station responded to the crash, according to Cruz.

Calls to Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) offices have not been returned as of yet.
