‘A Hidden Existence’ Film Screening (Video)

The premiere film screening and art exhibit of Gandhi Brigade’s Social Justice summer project will take place on August 9 at 7 p.m. in the Silver Spring Civic Building, 1 Veterans Plaza. Gandhi Brigade partnered with Pyramid Atlantic to employ eight teen interns to learn about documentary filmmaking and printmaking. The youth used their art and media skills to produce a film and a visual art campaign to explore a current issue that affects the community. The interns chose to focus on teen homelessness. They used crowd-funding to raise money for their summer salaries through Kickstarter and Indiegogo.
