78% Of Montgomery County Residents Completed the Census
Seventy eight percent of Montgomery County residents responded to the U.S. census, which is an increase of nearly 2% from the 2010 census. Nationally, 67% of Americans completed the census.
According to the U.S. Census, 71.2% of Marylanders filled out their census forms. Residents in the City of Rockville had a 76.9% response rate, and Takoma Park had a 76.5% response.
In U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin’s 8th Congressional District, 79.1% of the residents completed their census, beating out U.S. Rep. David Trone’s 6th Congressional District, which had a 73.3% response rate.
Maryland ranked ninth overall. Carroll County residents topped the state with an 81.6% response rate.
CENSUS UPDATE: Your hard work paid off! Montgomery County finished with a self-response rate of 78%, which is 1.9% above our self-response rate in 2010.
