50+ Employment Expo Set for May 12
Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett will join executives from the Jewish Council for the Aging (JCA) and some of the County’s leading employers to kick-off the 50+ Employment Expo on May 12 at the Bethesda North Marriott Conference Center at 5701 Marrinelli Road.
This year, for the first time, Montgomery County has joined with the JCA and the Workforce Investment Board to sponsor the Experience Counts Awards, which will honor three County employers who demonstrate best practices and engage in innovative strategies to hire, retain and engage older workers.
A the expo, you can meet recruiters from dozens of employers, including nonprofits, government, healthcare, retail, technology and others! Attend seminars, visit the Internet Café, meet with resume reviewers, learn about community resources and attend the keynote address by Bob Levey, prize winning journalist. No pre-registration is required. Registration and parking are free.
The keynote speaker is Bob Levey, a prize-winning journalist who has covered the Washington scene since the Johnson Administration. For 23 years, he wrote a daily column, “Bob Levey’s Washington,” for The Washington Post.
