Creative Connections
It was a full house at last night’s Creative Connections. Thank you to all the producers and technicians who shared their projects, interests and production needs with fellow MCM members. Mandi Wyndham our Training and Volunteer Services Coordinator and Ellen Donnelly our Trainer invited our members to this meet and greet in hopes that they would share their story ideas, meet new crew members and crews for our producers. And that’s just what they did.
It was an opportunity for our seasoned producers to hand out crew requests for their upcoming shows.
We heard great story ideas from some of our favorite volunteers, met returning MCM members that were certified a long time ago but brought renewed interest to the meeting and we listened to many newly certified technicians request shows to work on.
Creative Connections covers a wide variety of topics that are relevant to the multimedia world. This is your opportunity to learn new skills, to meet other producers and technicians and tell your story. If you have an idea or topic you would like to cover please contact Mandi at mwyndham@mymcmedia.org
Please join us this Fall for the next Creative Connections, we look forward to seeing you!
Thank you MCM for putting together an extremely helpful networking session. It was wonderful to meet other producers, camera technicians, and editors to exchange ideas and find out how we can help their shows or they can help our shows. I came away from the session feeling very motivated to start the next episode of my show and several people came up to me afterwards and offered to help be camera technicians. I especially enjoyed the discussions when we went around the room and introduced ourselves and talked about our current and future projects. This is such a valuable and inspiring session for us, thank you MCM!! I look forward to the next Creative Connections.
Thank you Ellen and Mandi for putting the informal network event together. As you likely guess, I’ve been out of the production loop for awhile, so it’s really refreshing to learn of the significant advances MCM is making in building expertise and valuable content in the community.
