The Maryland State Police responded to 19 suspected DUI crashes during the Fourth of July weekend.

Out of the 19 suspected DUI crashes, at least 12 included multiple vehicles. At least 18 arrests were made for driving under the influence.

The Maryland State Police recently tweeted the information and ended with the hashtag “don’t drive impaired.”

The Fourth of July is one of the deadliest holidays of the year due to DUI crashes, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign
